Hmm..I should have blogged about this yesterday but...

LO AND BEHOLD!!I AM ACTUALLY A PROUD OWNER OF A PENTIUM 4 CPU WITH A PROCESSING SPEED OF 2.40 GHz, 512 MB OF RAM AND 60 GB WORTH OF HARD DISK SPACE WITH (APPARENTLY) ORIGINAL SAMSUNG PARTS AND ENJOYING HIGH-SPEED SMART BRO PREPAID DSL INTERNET AT HOME!!!*cries*

After nearly an eternity of service, my Pentium 3 pc can now retire...somewhat. My uncle has plans to "revive" it if he can buy a motherboard for it so that we can use it as backup. But as the cliche goes, out with the old in with the new!!

In all fairness, I was shocked with the speed. Most probably because I was so used with my old pc's speed, or lack thereof, for so many YEARS that when I switched to this one I can't believe that I am using a computer in my house that is at par with most computers people own. I'm actually not worrying that it will crash the second I open a program!O___O But the biggest surprise is definitely the internet speed. Gone were the days that we literally threw our money away loading the Smart Bro account only to experience dial-up speed because the old one can't keep up and just hangs. I don't need stay up late outside in internet shops anymore for research purposes. I can research, fangirl, blog and email right in the comforts of my own room!!! It's really about time that we upgraded the pc. Seriously. Let the old one rest.XD

I'm quite sad that I hadn't been fangirling Sho-chan and Arashi lately. It's a mixture of school and finances. Although I'm not too busy (yet) with school work, I can't keep on spending too much on internet. Using prepaid internet has its advantages and disadvantages. It's good because I get to keep track of my internet usage/spending but it also eats away at my allowance and I can't download much, or at least the videos, which I'm really after. If circumstances were different, I think we would've gotten a DSL line. As such, it is the contrary.

I've been joining comms in lj recently, but I haven't contributed much. I'm such a leech!>__< But at least I say thank you and don't re-distribute the goods, if it's any consolation. I'm just a poor fangirl, I can't bring myself to order Arashi stuff even if I want to cause my reason tells me I don't need it. I can't afford it in the first place so why bother? But then again, I can look right? Hehehe...I am forever grateful to the contributors in arashi_on!m(___ ___)m Truly thank you for sharing Arashi goodies!!

Haha..finally able to post again! Back and school and able to take advantage of free internet use which is a TAD BIT on the slow side. Better than nothing though.

Today, I'm back to having duties in the hospital. After the mind-blowing, career hit-me-in-the-head-why-did-I-take-up-nursing-again reality check up from the esteemed Level IV chair Ma'am Chua, I seriously doubted my decision to allow myself be "convinced" into taking nursing with all these employment issues lurking. Why didn't they tell us this in the first place? Were these all in fine print or something? Of course, inside I already know the answer but still, I do have myself to blame. I chose nursing, if reluctantly. I can't say I don't enjoy it because I have learned a lot in the profession. I'm ambivalent when it comes to nursing.

With the current economic situation, I can understand the employment difficulties. But I think more so with those who took nursing thinking it's a "shoo-in" job. Nursing became too much popular and to quote Ma'am Chua, "there is now an oversupply of nurses and not enough hospitals to work in". Yesterday's orientation HIT HARD, more than the threat of 16 hours of makeup duty. I'm--we're--facing a grim future. Even before, I find it hard to explain to my dear uncle that I won't be going abroad and work as a nurse as soon as he thinks. He's blinded with my aunts' success and expects me to have the same. He keeps thinking the past is the present. He doesn't know that finding job at a hospital is literally like finding a needle in a haysack. I've already succumbed to potentially and probably working as a call center agent until I can find a job as a nurse, my pride as a nursing graduate be damned. I'd rather be underemployed and have even the smallest of income than be a bum.

Leaving that topic aside, while waiting for our CI in the ward for almost two hours for our orientation, my RLE mates and I talked much. Our summers, sex scandals, love affairs, etc. I found it really amusing that some of my RLE mates have watched the infamous sex video of Hayden Kho, saying this and that about how Katrina's video was "tame" as compared to the first three parts. I haven't watched it so I woulcdn't know. I'm relieved that this news has somehow been "drowned" by the other news. I was getting sick of it really. bleh.

As usual, my computer fails me at the most inopportune time. I was watching my Arashi videos in my computer all summer and it fails when I actually need it during the school days. I've already referred this to my Dad and of course, it's gonna take some time before the new computer comes. Not to mention that our retreat to Calaruega is worth a hefty P1,900.00 and needs to be paid by June 30 because it's already decked from July 3-5. A retreat at the start of the year?? O_o I was expecting it to be a few months from now where we have somehow collected some experience during 4th year..

I suddenly remembered that senior year=thesis=zombie mode.

Then i suddenly remember the sdhfsahfakhsdahuig thesis i made for lit that cost me a big chunk of sleep and fangirl hours.

Although I can't say I didn't have enough time procrastinator attack!, STILL, the novel I read really worked each brain cell I had. It was a great read really, and though I managed to dish out my thesis on time, I felt it wasn't enough. By the way, the novel is titled "Walong Diwata ng Pagkahulog", by Edgar Calabia Samar. It was "sublime and intangible" if I were to describe it. I really feel that although I am able to make a thesis out of it, I get the feeling that I would never ever get the full essence of it even after the nth reading. That's how the novel is. It's so surreal in spite of its realistic take on Filipino life. It's really hard to make a thesis out of something sooo.....hard. >____< I mean it deals about introspection of all things. Why haven't I chosen a book that had a more tangible theme like corruption and poverty? I would've had an easier time finding resources..XD Then again, I feel that the book found me. There's a magic in that somehow, and it helped expand my horizons.



I'm in my friend Manj's house right now and am currently hoarding her laptop. It has come to my recent attention that I am in dire need of a laptop. I realized that during my thesis sojourn last week. Especially now that I'm nearing senior year, which means the start of the ACTUAL thesis-making. My uncle canvassed for a laptop in Avenida and he saw a laptop that sells for only P12,500. It's almost brand new and has great specs, 2 GHz and 812-something RAM, Vista compatible ..not bad. Plus you can pay half first then pay the balance in 2 weeks. I'll just have to wait once my dad is able to buy me one. *crosses fingers*

I'm so happy I can fangirl freely now with no acads to think about. Disregarding my 3 day completion in UST-OR next week, I'm all summer mode right now!WOOOOOHOOOO!!

I hope to start on my friend tribute post plus the Sho Hair chronicles project i mentioned before. Weeee~~!!!!XD

This here is the Believe PV - Short version! I've told Manjie before that I feel I'm betraying Sho with Nino and Aiba in this one. I finally got down the dance to Arashi's truth a few days ago. I don't know why I haven't updated my actual journal when I've technically been "active" in my lj-linked fangirliness. I've been accessing the communities but seldom actually posting. O_O i'm going to make up for it now..XD

The past few months i've been fangirling mostly on arashi. Just last friday I bought dvds of arashi's AAA+ Dome and Final Time concert, KAT-TUN's Real Face concert and NEWS' Pacific Tour concert. I've been watching them ever since and it's been keeping me up late on schoolnights..[i]oh the eyebags[/i]!! I've also been exploring fanfics on them and eventually had my OTPs..plus the never ending downloading of Arashi goodies on school computers!XD

I'm currently watching the aibakaland forum and I discovered this thread on THE Johnny Kitagawa, the man behind JE. I wiki-ed and googled him up and apparently he's been rumored to be more "involved" with his talents than necessary. Think Michael Jackson..O__O I seriously got disturbed and somewhat scared for the boys because of this and I really do hope that it's not true, or at least he stopped getting "involved". *shivers* The man has so much influence and power over the media it's scary and amazing at the same time. O__O Anyway this is pretty old news and everythings pretty much in the dark at the moment.

I like my RLE a lot. We're such a diverse group and yet out of the four RLEs in our class our group is pretty much stable and united as compared to the other. I like my "gorgeous" RLE even if most of them can afford to travel around the Philippines and beyond just for a summer vacation/RLE bonding. I was listening to their "travel plans" last friday and they went from Baguio to Palawan to GenSan to Macau to an Asian cruise to Hundred Islands then back to Baguio. Frankly speaking, I'd rather just go within the greater Metro Manila area but I'd be OK with Baguio. I think I can handle it. XD

(at least nakakadownload nmn ako..) average time ko pa naman kada upo sa shop ay 2 hours which is equal to P40 na agad.

• akala ko kaya ko na..hindi pala..deads na english ko..kakalungkot...pero patawa si ma'am cordova kanina...sobrang comedy yung mga kwento nya tungkol sa second year nursing student na palapak sa trabaho..eto yung mga nangyari sa kanya dhil niya nkikinig yung student..:

                    - estudyanteng hindi nakikinig sa instructor: "(normal tone) Ma'am, anong gagawin ko?patay na po kasi yung pasyente.."

                   - ang sasabihin para hindi ka pagalitan ng instructor mo dahil hindi ka nakikinig: "Ma'am! Alam kong magagalit kayo pero kasi hindi ko po alam yung gagawin, eh! " or "Ma'am! Wag po kayong magagalit pero gusto ko lang pong tanungin kung ano gagawin ko..." in other words..pangunahan mo na yung instructor na wag kang pagalitan..

• eto ang highlight ng araw ko..kakain na dapat ako sabay ala pala sa bag ko yung dakila kong wallet at ID..si bonak!tinchan talaga oo!nung una ako lng mag-isa naghahanap..tapos tinulungan ako ni vani (THANK YOU!!)..buti talaga nakita ng janitress (THANK YOU PO!!!!) at sinurrender sa dean's office..yay talaga!! tapos aun..kumain kami (sa wakas!) at heto na akong nasa library at xa sa tinoco park..si angge nandun sa kabilang dako ng library kasama si numer..nameet ko narin sa wakas!hehe..ang hina ko talaga sa names..konti nga lang natatandaan ko sa mga friends ni angge, manjie at hazel..angge: risa, leona, (kuya) carl at si numer..manjie: si coco lang natatandaan ko..nalilito parin ako dun sa iba!..hazel: john...hehe.. 

             

ayan..tapos na ang theo...yung mga quizzes na lang sa chem ang aatupagin ko..pati rin pala yung bayad sa finals..naku ma-text na nga si daddy..nagi-guilty na talaga ako..sumisipa nanaman yung pagka-procrastinator ko..bullshit..

speaking of bullshit ansaya kaninang psych! hindi napumasok si sir mags at nagtransform muli ang room from learning facility to Casino Filipino UST BSN 1-8 Branch!makikita mo tatlong (o mas marami) grupong nagbabaraha at naglalaro ng tong-its, 123 pass, bullshit, unggoy-unggoyan, yu-gi-oh! cards, pokemon cards LAHAT NA!!tapos biglang dating si sir tadle..nakakatawa yung mga muka namin..tago agad yung baraha..slightly caught in the act...comedy talaga kanina...esp. si kc daredevil of the day!!sadyang malas niya sa 123 pass..tuloy laging dinidare..tsk tsk tsk!!!

eto nanaman akong hindi kumain ng lunch...kala ko talaga me allowance na ako ule wala pala..buti me natira pa dun sa allowance ko..huhu..

hayy...eto na...nag-uumpisa na ang hagupit ng finals. bakit ba sadyang andaming gagawin pagdumarating ito? nagtambakan lahat ngayong linggo hindi na tuloy ako nakakatulog nang maaga...bwishet...yung baon ko dumadaan lang sa kamay ko..sunod2 yung mga projects at quizzes...amp talaga!!!

hanggang ngayon wala parin akong cellphone..miss ko na talaga yung Sony Ericsson T68i ko...hindi tuloy ako updated..hindi ko alam kung dapat nakayellow ba o hindi..kainis na..

naghintay ako sa wala kanina sa grandstand..hindi dumating mga kagrupo ko.. syempre 6am na ule pasok ko bukas..kamusta naman!! hirap na nga akong gumising ng 5am sabay 4am ako gigising...damn..

galing akong apartment ni kc knina..ksama ko si vani..tumambay lng kme..4pm pa kasi yung susunod na activity namin...buti pa yung kay vani may nangyari sakn wla...tsaka feel ko lasing ata ako nun..andami kong binulgar..

takbo muna ako cr..tinatawag na ako ng kalikasan...hehe..

DAMN.

 

Natatakot na ako. Ang bilis ng panahon. Isang linggo na lang ang OCTOBER 4, 2006. Grabe. Anheavy ng araw na yun. And to think wala pa akong nagagawa kahit isa dun. Damn talaga.

 

Na-mention ule ni Ma'am Wong yung cut-off kanina...na-depress ule ako. Hindi ko alam kung maniniwala ba ako dun sa sinabi niya na so far safe pa yung klase namin. Gusto kong maniwala na hindi...ewan ko ba. Kasi naman..pag-nakikita ko mga quizzes ko..feel ko talaga gudbay ust na ako. nakakalungkot talaga pero gusto kong isipin na ok pa ako.sana matuloy yung retake sa english..i need the grade...ngaun pang tita ko na yung magbabayad ng tuition ko...nakakahiya naman kung un yung ipapakita kong grades.

 

miss ko na cellphone ko. nasaan na kaya yun?huhu...

ganda ng weekends ko..buong sabado natulog lang ako..pupunta dapat ako sa practice namin sa rt kaso alang cash..aga xe umalis ni daddy hindi tuloy ako nakahingi..damn..

nung sunday..wala nagsimba lang..tapos yun din yung araw na nakatikim ako ule ng munchkins!!sarap parin kahit kelan!!! nga pala si tadle nasa yspeak ule..sayang hindi ko naumpisahan..tsktsktsk..

monday..ngayon..nilabas lang kanina yung chem quiz at prelims..grabe sumabit lang talaga ako..anhirap ng buhay.. tapos theo pa mamaya...tapos may practice pa sa fitness...

 

may matitira pa ba sa pera ko by friday?? makakapanood pa ba ako ng you are the one??kailangan ko pa ba talagang panoorin yun??makakatulong ba si sam at toni sa pagpasa ko sa second year???

For the nth time in my young teenage life, I overslept AGAIN at the most inappropriate time: the night before my hellish Chemistry exam.

I woke up at 3am instead of 9pm the previous night. I haven't studied one page of the damn book and the exam's in less than four hours. I should consider myself lucky that I still got to answer some questions correctly. But the real hell was the Lab exam. My brain simply shut down when the computations came.

Then came the Theology exam. It was much better than the previous exam... I just didn't expect that we needed to know what was the Book Chapter:Verse/s of the verse. Other than that, the exam went well.

Afterwards, Vanessa and I went to photocopy some Psychology handouts along with Daboy (his real name is Mark..still don't know why we call him Daboy O.o). We went back to the classroom to distribute said handouts. We were already going down the stairs (Vanessa: to go home, Me: to go to CenLib) when I found myself in front of Tita Net's (the guidance counselor) office waiting for the result of my USTET. Some classmates of mine were already inside so Vanie and I waited along with Adriel, Ian, Arvin and Daboy.

Once the first batch were done, our group went inside. I'd just like to point out that this was a totally random event. We didn't plan this. It just happened. I went first. I found out my IQ--she said it was above average. I heard my grades in Math, English and Science--I fell from my seat (metaphorically speaking..). I'll just share the results..

Superior: Adriel (expected), Daboy (unexpected!)

Above Average: Me (haha), Vanie, Arvin, Ian

Tita Net said we should go for the DL-ship. I doubt I can do that when I barely pass my chem quizzes. She said we could pass just by listening to lectures. I don't doubt that.
